John asks,
I’ve just read your beginning hold’em book and it was great! The only question I have (and this is one that pertains to all hold’em books in general) is.. when there are jackpots for bad beats and for royal flushes and such, I’m sure the starting hands change and playing strategies for each round also vary. Has there been any research done on this? If so, which books would you recommend? If not, how would you vary your starting hand selection based on this?
Jackpots add a keno-like thrill to any small stakes poker game. For just $1 a hand, you get to hear the oohs and aahs every time three aces hit the board.
