speedracer asks,
Hi Ed,Is folding here too weak? Villain is very loose and only moderately aggressive. He has almost no preflop standards at all. I thought he could be donking an ace, a club, a 6/7, or some combination of the above. I didn’t feel like risking (in the worst case) 2 BB to win 3.75 BB. Villain did not show his hand.

Unfortunately, there’s no set answer for a situation like this. We’re definitely in “it depends” territory. Always folding in this situation would definitely be too weak, but never folding would be too loose. The right play depends on your opponent.

I think this topic could use some deeper discussion – whats your river play when a blank falls if the villain calls the raise (as he or she usually does). What if the villain donks a third time on the river?
