Ben asks,

There are 3 players left after the turn is dealt. Player 1 is to left of dealer, then 2 and then Player 3. Player 1 checks, Player 2 checks but Player 3 goes all in. Now comes the problem 1: Before Player 1 gets a chance to call the all in bet, Player 2 calls and both Players 2 and 3 immediately turn their cards over.

Problem 2: Dealer then turns over the River card and totally disregards Player 1 to either bet or fold. Problem 3: The revealed River card would have given Player 1 the win if given the chance to bet. What we did was that Player 1 stated he probably would have folded and did just that. Players 2 and 3 had a split pot. Knowing the above information, the question really is does Player 1, who through no fault of his own get to play the hand or is it a dead hand or is what we did the right thing.

Hi Ben. I’m not an expert in cardroom procedures, but I think I know how most cardrooms would resolve this issue.
