Small Stakes No-Limit Hold'em CoverOur new e-book Small Stakes No-Limit Hold’em has been out for a month, and I wanted to thank all of you for the incredible month it has been. The response to the book has been absolutely tremendous, and as of today the sales numbers are just a few books shy of double my most optimistic projection.

In fact, the book has sold so well that we dared to compare our sales to those of traditional poker books. We’ve come to a startling conclusion. Using the metrics we have available (which are admittedly not entirely precise), we believe that Small Stakes No-Limit Hold’em, an e-book available for sale only at our website, was during the release period the #1 selling poker book of any type anywhere in the world. Given that the book isn’t available at Amazon or major bookstores, that fact is simply amazing. So I’d like to thank all of you who have helped to make our non-traditional book release a stunning success.

Early Reviews Are In

For those of you who haven’t yet gotten your copy of the affordable poker e-book, you might want to read what some of the early reviewers have to say about it:

“Small Stakes No-Limit Hold’em is a well written, high-level discussion of no-limit hold’em that does a masterful job of explaining difficult, complex concepts with clarity and precision. It is a book that requires – and rewards – multiple readings, and will likely join the trio’s earlier volume as one of the more significant contributions to strategy books on no-limit hold’em cash games.”

Poker Book Review: ‘Small Stakes No-Limit Hold’em’ by Ed Miller, Sunny Mehta, and Matt Flynn, June 21, 2009, by Martin Harris.

“There’s clear logic and reasoning behind all suggestions, strategies and tactics.” [...] “If your bankroll allows, buy it. If it doesn’t, consider setting aside a bit each week until you can afford it. At any reasonable stakes, this book should pay for itself in short order.”

There is no need to thanks us, Ed. We didn’t make the book what it is. You guys did that. You authors obviously put a huge amount of effort into this book and it shows.

People here in the good ol’ US of A have been getting somewhat lazy these days. We tend to do as little work as we can, just enough to get by. I ought to know, as I can sometimes be as guilty as the next guy when it comes to that.

We ought to be the ones thanking you guys because you put in that extra effort and did not just settle for “OK” or “good enough”!

Ed,

as JJS said: don’t thank us; WE thank you!

I am really glad that your sales figures met your expectations, because I was worried that some geek would crack the ebook in no time and make it available for free.

From my point of view you deserve every cent of your planned sales AND beyond! :)

Thanks again and please keep educating us!!!

Ed, Matt, and Sunny,

Thank YOU for finally making a NLH cash game book that puts all of the other poker books to shame. I’ve personally learned a great deal from your new book. Keep up the great work!

Great book. I do not play 6-max, never have. I have been playing nl semi-fulltime for over couple years now. I play 1-3 and sometimes 2-5 live , and since April, 6-tabling 50nl on-line.

And this has helped my game mos def. Even live, other nite, I’m in a hand and at end it’s like ah-ha, I even think I rememer the page # it is on.

So any potential full-ring readers out there, PLEASE ignore anyone that tells you it won’t apply to your game because it’s just not true.

Especially when you are told , my games are soft, I can just sit tight and get the money. Or wade around a lot till I hit big. This does win money, but even in full ring live, you can steal a lot of money.

Especially from some older guys my age and older, limp, limp, limp, big raise, fold fold fold. Or call and fit or fold. ED is the one that got me there. And this book is like the next step to the beyond.

Yeah, some specific stuff I PROBABLY won’t use in my games (at this time) but it’s not like you can know too much about the game. Anyway, I’m a 100% FullRing advocate of this book.
