Are there any plans on having this available for download in a format that is compatible with the Amazon Kindle? The Kindle supports MobiPocket formatted books (PRC/MOBI files) and I would prefer to read it on a Kindle rather than on a screen or printing it out.

The FAQ on the site seems to suggest that it will be available in some sort of protected format (possibly a protected PDF), is this correct?

“E-books are the newest wave in poker training. You can supercharge your game by learning from the best. The problem? Bankroll-busting pricetags. $750. $1,000. $1,850. Yikes! Maybe a few pros who are already raking in the cash can pay these prices, but most players can’t fit an e-book into their poker education budget. Until now.”

Most e-books I’ve seen are either free or sub $50.
I’m a big fan of your work and I’m eagerly anticipating your new book but I can’t say am a big fan of this misleading introduction you’ve made.

Thanks Ed. I want this book. I’m unemployed right now (for over a year), but if I get a job I will certainly invest in this because you are truly the best when it comes to hold’em advice. I’ve learn a lot from your your articles. I’m struggling in both low stakes games online and cash games.

Hi Deco. Ed’s introduction is in no way misleading. The majority of online pro’s ebooks are priced way over $50. Slowhabit/CTS NL book was $1,850 before 50% discount. Improva’s Poker Puzzle is $300. Baluga’s two volume book is £949. Bobbofitos’s book is $700 I believe. AEjones tapes cost $5000. I can only think of billyjex and ryan fee who are $50 or less. What others have you seen?

Type “poker ebooks” into google.
The first five links all feature ebooks between $0-$50.

‘Most e-books I’ve seen are either free or sub $50.’

No offense, but aside from Ryan Fee’s ebook.. I feel most of the free e-book authors should pay me a small fee for the amount of time they wasted of my life. :) Ok, maybe not *that* bad, but there’s quite a bit of garbage out there that might beat games in 2003, not now.

(Note: I’m in no way affiliated with Ed Miller or Stox) If you haven’t taken a look at Ed’s videos over at Stox Poker yet, I would *STRONGLY* recommend it. His mini series on value betting alone would make the book worth $39.99. I can’t wait until he lays it out in print.

Personally, I have mixed feelings about the cost; I wish he would have charged more of a premium. I know that once this book is released, my 200nl games are about to get more difficult. For me, I plan to lead rather than adjust.. this book is essential to my growth and I’m sure it’ll be for most of the small stakes guys out there as well.

My post about the release date on this book I posted on 2+2 was deleted. Man has 2+2 ever got it out for this book. This is the ONLY text I am aware of in the last several years where 2+2 has refused any reference to a text on poker.

THis is going to be a big time first class classic.

You mean the jabs Mason made at the pricing model wasn’t any indication they have it out for this book? :)

You’re absolutely right DafarginNuts.

Sorry, I have no sympathy for any 2+2 posters who complain about being censored. They have been practicing censorship for years and you participated until the censorship hit close to you.

I will never post on their forums, and what they did to Gary Carson is a shame. Now you can buy Gary’s fantastic Texas Holdem book on Amazon for 75 cents (2+2 practically owns the amazon poker book reviews) – shows how powerful 2+2 are…

Is this book considered Volumn 2 for Prof NL Holdem?

Very excited to see the book. I’ll be out in Vegas in early July can I get my e-book e-autographed?

Jeremy,

No, this is not Volume 2 for PNL. That project was shelved indefinitely, and we wrote this book instead.

icemonkey9,

I should be around early July and I’ll be happy to autograph a book for you… an e-book might be a little tricky, though. :)

$39.95 seems about right for a print book but too high for an e-book. have you thought of offering it as a print book through a print-on-demand service? They do all the work for you handle payment, ship book, etc. – you just send them the text file. It would put your books in the hands of more people as well.
