Hi Ed --

One thing I might mention -- or add to my post above: I liked the new hand reading/combo vid a lot -- but I'd like to see more info on how the specific values are derived.

In other words, the (52*51)/2 type math (for pf, for example).

For us non-math folks -- or for me, at least -- the idea of combos is strangely counterintuitive. Not sure why counting is so difficult -- but it took me a lot of fiddling with paper and a deck of cards to even wrap my head around the idea of 6 combos with the four aces. Now I understand it's the idea of (4*3)/2 -- but it took me a while to figure that out and to see the underlying concept (even more important, I take it, than the result itself).

Still, a great vid -- and the only stox vid I watched three times to get it down.

OH! That's how it works...
My comment didn't turn up, so I pressed 'refresh' button and: now my comment is up AND I'm logged in.
Good!
BTW, my coffee hobby keeps me up at that late hour  and dreaming on a lever machine... I'm childish.

Hi Ed,

Great video on Stox about hand reading. Just downloaded it and watched the first half. The combinatronics (?) stuff is *exactly* the sort of information I've been wanting to wrap my head around.

I appreciate the fact that it's geared to the microstakes, too. (Although, as you mention, it applies to higher stakes as well.)

Many thanks. I look forward to the next vids in this particular series.

Ed,
Looking forward to the book. My record is similar to yours, I've purchased 4 Ed Miller books in the last 4 years. =)

At this time I am still playing full-ring only. Can you briefly state adjustments when incorporating 6-max examples for someone like myself.

I know solid poker is solid poker regardless, and you mentally adjust your position for missing players. But also, from everything I've watched and read from you guys at Stox, they do play differently(aggession?etc.)

I know a lot of this would come from experience playing both, but since I don't have that I was hoping you could give me somewhat of a nutshell response? thanks. JC
