I’ve gotten a number of requests in the past to do private coaching, but until now I’ve turned them down. I didn’t have the time.
I got another request last week, and I decided finally to clear out my schedule a bit and make time for students. Therefore, for the first time, I’m offering private poker coaching and lessons.
What can I do for you?
I’ve written five books (and sold more than a quarter million copies) and hundreds of articles about poker. I specialize in teaching players at the micro and small stakes levels how to identify their weaknesses, conquer them, and make the leap to the next level. Here’s how I can help you.
- Leak finding. Most players have flaws in their general approach to the game. The flaws, or leaks, cause them to make lots of little mistakes as they play. These mistakes add up, and they can be nearly impossible to identify if you don’t know what you’re looking for. I know the most common leaks, and I can quickly help you identify them, and I can give you tips on how to plug them.
- The mental game. Poker will challenge your mental fortitude. Whether you’re on a deep downswing or a white hot streak, it can be very difficult to keep your head clear and making top-notch decisions. I personally have struggled with my emotions as a player, and I’ve developed a systematic approach to keeping a level head at the table. I can teach you some simple techniques to help you keep your cool.
- Transitionting from online to live poker. If you’re an online player who is looking to start playing more live, I can help. Due to the slower pace of live games, you have to squeeze every dollar out of your opponents to make your time spent at the table pay off. This requires a different set of skills than the ones you honed playing online. I can move you quickly up the learning curve.
How to get started
If you’re interested in coaching, please send me an email at edmiller@notedpokerauthority.com. In your email, please tell me your name, the games you normally play, and your goals for improvement.
I prefer to coach live, in person, in Las Vegas. So if you live in Vegas or you’re planning a trip, that would be a great time to get your coaching in. I can also coach over the phone or Internet.
Since I’m offering coaching for the first time, I figured I’d offer a special rate for my first sessions. If you contact me before the end of May, I’m offering a four hour package for just $400. This is a big discount from what will be my standard rate. You can use the four hours all at once or space them out if you please.
If you’re serious about improving your poker game, a little investment can go a long way.
