Matthew Hilger has generously invited me to participate on his “Ask an Expert” forum as July’s expert. I’m going to answer people’s poker questions, much as I do here, for the month. So if you have something on your mind or if you want to read the thoughts of ITH’s excellent community members, pop on over to ITH’s Ask an Expert anytime this month.

I have tried to register over there to post a few questions, but they they never sent me a way to activate my account. If anyone can find an email address that I can write to about this it would be appreciated.

I just finished playing a game of Texas hold’em where my friend who had $10 left in chips was told he could no longer play because he didn’t have enough chips to cover the big blind, which was $40. I am pretty sure he should have been allowed to play, but would only be eligable to win $10 from each player who went to the flop, with all other chips going in a side pot. I think this is right but not 100% sure, could someone please explain in detail so I can print it off and bring to the next game. Thanks Dennis
