Matt and Sunny have mentioned that they aren’t done writing it and then it has to go through the publication process.

I think a lot of the ideas in PNLV1 are very important and their implications touch nearly every decision.

It’s going to be a little while still. While I think Volume 1 is very worthwhile on its own, you’re right that I think Volume 2 will help bring some of the ideas together more completely.

I’ve just finished PNLH vol. I and it’s going to take me a few weeks at least before I’m ready to absorb anything new - so no rush here.

PNLH vol. I is just right for me now.  I’ve already read the ‘classics’ - Harrington 1,2, & 3, Sklansky ToP, and I’d just worked my way through No Limit Hold’em: Theory and Practice for the third time when my copy of PNLH arrived from Amazon.

What a great book, although I wouldn’t have got anything like as much from it if I hadn’t studied those other books first.  And I certainly want to work my way through NLH:TAP at least one more time with this new insight before I try anything new.

PNLH combined with Ed’s starting hand tutorials are a killer.  But there is so much more for me to think about (commitment, REM, max SPR, target SPR) that I have had to drop down to one online table while I start to get a feel for the new numbers, hoping that the calculations will become semi-automatic with practice.

I’ll have to construct an SPR spreadsheet (enter> TPTK, overpair or draw? Player profile? #callers? Stack Size? output> bet size  = [x]). I just can’t think that fast at the table! I was so busy doing the maths on Saturday I missed the obvious straight draw on the board and didn’t slow down.  Expensive mistake!

Great book though.
