I think you need to check the turn. Your hand just went up in smoke.

I don't play nearly this high, but it seems like you're flop raise was a little small.  It was $100 to call into $270 pot with plenty behind.  Seems like $220 or so is a better number there.

That 7 was a bad card for you.  JJ+ just improved.  The hand does play like a made hand.  I don't think you beat much here.  AT and a draw.  Is AT putting that much money in the pot?  UTG + 1 now has about $350 behind.  He's not getting away from much given the size of the pot.  He's getting 4-1 if you move in.  I can't see much folding even with the paired board.

I think you behind most of the time here, have no leverage when you aren't and have to fold the turn.

I'm with Brett.  Check behind on the turn.  Call a moderate bet on a river blank.  The best case for you is that villain has 99 or JTs.  99 more likely than JTs given that he doesn't have JdTd.  I'm folding the river on a 9, 6 or diamond.

Thanks for comments!

I knew I was screwing it up!

I knew I had to bet enough to make him call unprofitably, I felt that if he would call, I'd be in trouble, since my hand was vulnerable. I just thought pot sized bet would be enough.

He finally showed J7o. River didn't change anything.

I bet the turn because I was afraid that he will succesfully bluff me out on the river, but even so my turn bet would change it anyway. So how to protect against a bluff in here?

I understand theorethically how I should play to make it unprofitable to call, no mater if they make it or not, but did not have enough practice crearly!
But it stands for cash games. Actually this hand was in a tourney so I don't understand how to play correctly: I don't want to raise too much because if they make it, even though calling was unprofitable for them, then I lost my chips anyway and my chances get slim!

So how to play??

Ah sorry
I meant my turn bet wouldn't change anything (if the turn wasn't 7 and he decided to make a bluff it wouldn't matter if I had bet the turn, nor if Ihadn't - same could be on the river)

In the early rounds of tournaments, you really need to bet a bit more.  The pot + his bet + your call of his bet would be $165. To give him 2-1 you would have to raise to 50 + 165 = 215.  You really want to punish him for betting with a weak hand.  Plus, the stacks are still deep, so you have enough behind to justify some looser calls.  Giving him the exact right price means you won't give him another nickle if he makes his draw.  That is not going to be true with your hand.  A raise of $250-$300 wouldn't be out of line.  Also, you'll get a lot of weak calls in the early rounds of tournaments and sit n goes.  Give the villain a bet that will pay you off.  Sometimes they draw out on you, sad but true.
