Hey Ed,

When I first started I read everything that was good but as time passed I became more specific to my game being played in book selection.

My question- I have now been forced to playing nl all the time. I know Stoxtrader's book is jammed full of good stuff. Would there be any carry over into the games I now play. I know I probably will read it someday in leisure but would it behoove me to read it now? I don't believe  learning is ever wasted, but I don't want to confuse myself at this time either.

So, would it be helpful, hurtful,or neutral to me to read it while playing not-tough nl games ?

I think it's a positive book to read even if you're focused on NL. It focuses on blind play and, to some extent, postflop pot control… both important ideas in NL. Obviously, the advice isn't directly applicable (i.e., if he says, "I defend the big blind with the following hands" you're going to have to adjust that perhaps signfiicantly). But I think it will get you thinking in a new way, which is always helpful no matter what you're thinking about.
