THE ADDRESS OF THE WEBSITE GIVEN ABOVE IS NOT CORRECT. IT IS: donkeytest.com.
Sorry
Hello,
Last night watching the WSP 2008 I heard the announcer say that one of the players, supposedly a great internet player by the name of Lyric, had a site called donkeytest.com. This site, he went on to explain, had a test for poker players, and the test had purportedly been taken by 85,000 people.
I looked at the site and am very tempted though I might not really want to know my score.
The test is free, I think, and you get your score at the end of it. But it costs $9.95 (or so) to get a printable analysis of each of the many areas in which you have been tested.
Some scores of well known internet players are provided to put the scoring system into context.
Has anybody here tried it? If so, what are your impressions?
It seems that if the test is well constructed and it reveals areas of your game that need improvement, it could eaisly be worth $9.95. On the other hand, I am working my way through Harrington On Holdem III, The Workbook, and it will eventually supply the same sort of information, though the results are very subjective.
The donkeytest.com test is compared against a growing database and should not be as subjective.
