Hi Ed,

I really like your books. I read SSHE and played LHE for 2 years (had a decent result) and switched to NLHE in last October.

I bought Getting Started in Hold'em and I have been playing $50NL using the short stack strategy in GSIHE. I have played over 3,600 hands, but I can only get a break-even result.

You mentioned in this entry that "my super-tight strategy isn’t the optimal strategy for 20BB stacks in a 9- and 10-handed game. It’s just an ok strategy."

Does this mean I can only expect a break-even result with the short stack strategy mentioned in GSIHE in NLHE?

To play NLHE with Short Stack optimally, what would you recommend players like myself to do?

Thank you.

So, does this mean than that is is +EV to play short-stacked and not reload in a limit hold'em game that takes time instead of rake? Just how far would you take this? How big do you think your advantage is vs. a typical 1 BB/hour player?

If I could buy in for 5bb and rathole, I think I would have the highest winrate of any player in any no-limit game in California, despite the rake.
